Music...Music...Music!

Some of you may or may not know, but I LOVE GOOD MUSIC!!! Yesterday, I came across Amanda Diva's....Spandex, Rhyme & Soul album.

Let me know what you think about her music :)

Oh & for those of you who don't know who Miss Diva is, here's an interview...posted by Yo Mama

Hello my name isAmanda Diva
I was raised inLA and Orlando by a Grenadian mother who says I’m from another planet altogether!
The reason that you’re reading about me isBecause I’m a busy chick! On the music side, I’ve just dropped my FreEP Spandex, Rhymes, and Soul available for free online and am also featured on Q-Tip’s “ManWoman Boogie” off his new album The Renaissance. On the web/tv side, I am a commentator on VH1 and produce two comedy web shows, “Diva Diva Ya’ll” and “DivaSpeak TV.”
Right now I’m working onTaking the above to the world!
But I’d rather beOn Grand Anse beach in Grenada.
My most prized possessions areMy paintings, my iPod, and my common sense.
But I’d give it all away forMy mom to not have to work anymore.
The first thing I do in the morning isCheck my blackberry.
The last thing I do at night isRead.
My momma always said“You neva know what people are smoking.”
I love it when peopleGet the joke.
I hate it when peopleAre inconsiderate.
If you ever see me walking down the streetHolla “what it do Deev?!”
My most notable run-in with the lawWas getting caught with a bottle of Smirnoff in one hand and Peach Schnapps in the other by campus police sophomore year in college. They let me slide :)
If I had to say sorry it would be becauseI was wrong.
I get real aggro whenPeople disrespect my time.
The last time I swore I’d never drink was after a night ofGrenadian rum (whoo that was a doozie).
Future projects and plansKeep the music growing and expanding using my latest release, Spandex, Rhymes, and Soul. Bringing my web shows “DivaSpeak TV” (youtube.com/divaspeaktv) and “Diva Diva Ya’ll” (karmalooptv.com) to wider audiences. Doing more art shows (I paint) and doing more tv.
And before I leave I’d like to give a shout out tooAll the indie artists charting their own course and the fans who keep us pushing forward when the path gets hella tough.

Anyway, I've only heard it one time but, I like her voice. Hopefully I'll be uploading some of my own sooner than later...ssshhh ;)

Till My Next Posting....
Keep Positive
Stay Blessed
&
Enjoy the life that God's given you!

Trip to Texas (WWW Conference)

This is really late, I couldn't seem to find the time to blog. Anyway...Enjoy!

WWW = Women Who Win, Pastor Bridget Hilliard is one of the most amazing women of God out there. If you haven't had a chance to hear her, you can check her out on the Word Channel @ 9:30am Mon-Fri, I know most of you may be at work, which is why the invention of TiVo or DVR comes in handy :) You can also check out her husband who is AWESOME! He comes on right before she does at 9pm on the same channel. The Hilliard Family, set an example that the world needs to see. They are truly blessed and it's all well deserved too. They're awesome! This was WWW's 2nd conference. The topic of the conference was, "Covenant Connections".

Here are some pics from the trip....
This is Me-Mom. I LOVE her, she's my mother on soooo many levels. She doesn't know it but, I call her a warrior prayer. This woman is one of the strongest/blessed out there. I've never met a woman like her, I'm blessed to have her apart of my life, let alone have her as my mom now :) The Serrano/Bias Family is one I am definitely blessed to be apart of. I thank God for them all.
This is Aunt Aida, one of moms spiritual sisters, man the two of them together = POWER! They're both warriors in the kingdom of God can you imagine the energy with the two of them together....Life Changing. I'd say A. Aida is a covenant connection, she's going to do great things. Check for her....

Here are some shots I took of the area on our way to the church where the conference was being held...
Then...AAAHHHH....lol....this is outside the church. HUGE difference, can't wait to see what they do with the surrounding area of the church.
Here's some photos inside the conference... id= This is Bishop Rosie S. O'neal, one of my favorite speakers at the conference. They were all great but, I enjoyed her word. I bought her book called Reaching God's Idea of Wholeness. Good Book, if you want to buy it,

Ok..ok...so, used to want to be a photographer & on the flight home, the sky was so beautiful, that side of me came back out so, here are some shots.
(Maybe this is a foreshadow of what's to come ;)...lol)

So, this was my trip to Texas, hope you liked the pics. In the theme of Covenant Connections, surround yourself around people who celebrate you, not tolerate you. You never know who your Covenant Connection could be, who God could be using to bless your life. So, remember to always be kind to the person next to you & walk in LOVE because God is LOVE & he walks with you ;)

Feelin' DJ Smiles....

Hi All,

It's been a minute since I've blogged, there's not enough time in the day to get everything done...lol. Anyway, I'm making it a priority to get it done from now on. Anyway, below's the cover of DJ Smiles new mixtape for free download on the net, check it out, let me know what you think. I LOVE IT!

Have a Great Day!
